Beyond the Beam: Understanding the Patient Experience in Radiotherapy
The second World Radiotherapy Awareness Day session, held with the Alliance of Patients' Organizations Singapore. This year the evening is given over to the patient experience: two people who have been through radiotherapy open the session with their own accounts, APOS follows with the work it does alongside patients and caregivers, and a radiation therapist and a nurse clinician then describe the same journey from inside the treatment room and the clinic.
The session closes with an open floor, where participants are welcome to put questions to the panel or share their own experience. Members are submitted for AHPC CPE points automatically; non-members may self-submit.
