Biography

Dr Luís Lança obtained his PhD in Health Technologies from Aveiro University, Portugal in 2011. He was also awarded with a MSc degree in Medical Education from Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon in 2004. In 1991, he obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Radiography at ESTeSL (Lisbon School of Health Technology) and worked at Egas Moniz Hospital (Lisbon/PT) as a diagnostic radiographer for 10 years.

His teaching and research interests are related to medical imaging technologies, especially image quality and dose management. His teaching activity involves expertise, knowledge and practical skills in contemporary diagnostic radiography practice (such as plain digital radiography, Computed Tomography and radiation protection). His teaching topics are mainly focused in radiography research methods and other basic radiography subjects aimed for undergraduate students. Using his PhD research experience, he has been teaching research methods and supervising BSc, MSc and PhD students.

His contribution to research within radiography science results in publications in peer-reviews journals, conference papers and seminars.

Dr Luis is the reviewer for the last 3 ECR editions and member of the radiographers scientific subcommittee from 2017 to 2019.

Venue is at SIT Dover, 10 Dover Dr, Singapore 138683. Registration would be at the Faculty Hall.
